Self-levelling concrete is a polymer, a type of modified cement that has high flow characteristics and — in contrast to traditional concrete — does not require the addition of excessive amounts of water for placement. Self-levelling concrete is typically used to create a flat and smooth surface with a compressive strength similar to or higher than traditional concrete. This versatile material can be installed on top of properly prepared surfaces such as concrete, ceramic tile, and VCT, saving both time and money.
Fix Uneven Floors
Self-levelling concrete is mixed very fine into a nearly fluid mixture that is applied one-quarter to a half-inch thick. We then use a gauge rake to spread the mixture out at the desired thickness. It is ideal for raising the height of flooring to meet door jams, floor vents or stairs.
Damaged and unsightly surfaces look new after this application. Once only used as an underlayment, recent technological advances have led to the use of self-levelling concrete as a finished floor. An acid or dye can then be added to create that perfect work of functional art for your home or business.
